Nothing beats spring in New York City! The cool air, hot summer sun on your skin as it peaks out from behind the numerous skyscrapers, and flowers just beginning to bloom. I was inspired by spring with this look, which was perfect for strolling around Central Park and enjoying a nice pot of tea at Alice’s Tea Cup Chapter II right off of Lexington Ave.
On my last day in New York City, I hopped on a subway and headed uptown to the Met. The goal was to capture some photos before all the tourists and guests of the museum had arrived for the day. The concept behind the photos was me channeling my inner Blair Waldorf, confident and poised.
My top is from Express and one of my latest purchases. For one thing, I simply can’t live without my faux leather jacket from Mango. Therefore, my jacket became my wardrobe staple while I was in New York. New York is a city where color seems to be lacking; however, Central Park during the spring brings a boom of colorful flowers. The blooming flowers of Central Park mixed with New York’s signature color is the inspiration of my outfit. Additionally, the promise of warm days always seems to inspire a little color into my typically black wardrobe.
