It’s my first day back from spring break, and it is definitely a bittersweet moment. There was so many things I wanted to do over break, so many people I wanted to see, but not enough time to accomplish all that I had envisioned in just a week. There are some moments I regret and others I wish lasted longer. It can be hard to go home sometimes, especially with the thought of leaving. I only wonder how many chances I have to come home, and every time I wonder when will be the last. Nevertheless, I had an incredible spring break with family and friends, making new memories and cherishing the old. In only six short weeks, I will be making my way home again. Although it’s funny, because I now refer to Kent as my home, which over the past year it has become my home. I’ve created a family in college that continues to grow each day, and I continue to plant new roots as I find my place here. My home is anywhere I’m surrounded by people I love, and I hope to have many more “homes” in my future! I shot this lookbook along the Mississippi River in my hometown. I had just finished a quick study sesh at a local coffee shop, and decided to head down to the river, which was foggy and misty. I love dreary days, because they make for interesting photoshoots and it’s the perfect weather to grab a lovely cup of coffee.
