I do adore a stroll along the beach, wind in my hair, and sand between my toes. Los Angeles was in full June gloom mode with grey skies and chilly coastal air — the kind that makes you question if it is truly summer after all. Although most of my trip was cold and dreary, the clouds finally burned off and the glorious Pacific ocean appeared.
My mother told me when I was little that I’m a water baby always drawn to the ocean. I would never want to get out the water when I was a child. Today, I still feel that connection to the water, which is why LA is one of my favorite destinations. Even though you may not actually want to get into the Pacific’s frigid waves, being near such a beautiful body of water is an experience everyone should get a chance to see.
I had a fabulous time in LA making connections, gaining knowledge from industry professionals, and meeting some amazing people. I am truly blessed that I was granted this opportunity to explore the fashion scene in Los Angeles. The trip shaped me as a person and I discovered the kind of person I want to be. I now have more confidence in myself which is something I thankful for coming out of this trip.
