I can’t believe it’s already been five weeks since I started school in late August. During the past few weeks, I’ve adjusted to my Sophomore year lifestyle with my new apartment and new classes. So far, Sophomore year has been fairly slow with time for me to catch up on blogging, work part-time, and join more fun clubs and activities. Today, I thought I would share some of my current obsessions for the month of September.
I am completely obsessed with podcasts! Walking to class and work can get a little boring, so I love listening to interesting podcasts to pass the time. Some of my favorites include Earth to Us, At Home With…, Pardon My French, and Your Favorite Thing Podcast. These podcasts all range from serious topics to just random, funny discussions. What are some of your favorite podcasts?
THE BOLD TYPE
One of my favorite shows of all time! I have been searching for a show to replace my Gossip Girl/Ugly Betty addiction and this summer I found it. The Bold Type is a tv show which is inspired by the women of Cosmo Magazine. On the show, they discuss important issues for women today in a serious but funny way. I love the main characters; the leading ladies are strong, empowered, and successful women. Great role models for young women today! This is also the perfect show to binge with all your girlfriends when you need a break from homework.
With the temperature in Northeastern Ohio feeling as if we were in mid-summer, I have been turning to my Tarte BB Cream for just some slight coverage. I usually wear some kind of foundation to class, but lately I’ve been loving BB Cream, which is lightweight and perfect for hot days.
If I could only do one kind of workout for the rest of my life it would be yoga. I love it because it tones my entire body, stretches me out, and makes me relaxed. I love going to power yoga, so I work up a sweat and challenge myself outside of my comfort zone. Yoga is wonderful because you can do it at home or in a studio, therefore it can be extremely cheap or just a treat after a stressful week. My favorite place to go is Yoga Lounge in Hudson, Ohio. If you live in the Northeastern Ohio area I highly recommend you give it a try.
THE TEACHER DIVA
One of my favorite blogs lately is Ashley Robertson’s blog The Teacher Diva. I love Ashley’s style and her blog aesthetic. Furthermore, she has been such a big inspiration for my own blog lately! If you haven’t checked out Ashley’s blog yet, go give it a read.
This has basically been what I’ve been loving for the past month. My life mainly consist of school, clubs and activities, work, and yoga, but I’m loving life and thriving.
